1985 Runabout - looking for bochure to identify model to size bimini top

Any help in actually identifying our 1985 runabout would be great. I am also trying to size the bimini top - is there an easy way to do it?

Welcome rioricorat, Is your boat aluminum or fiberglass, open or closed bow? If you have a picture or two it would help us with the questions you have.

Biminis aren't really model specific. You just need to know the width you need and the height you want. Measure from the center of the gunwale on one side to the center of the one of the other side. I got mine from here: http://stores.ebay.com/safeguardcovers

OK I don't have the 85 brochure. In 84 this model was called the V or WV depending on how the boat was set up. In 86 they were call CSS's and came in 15, 16, and 18 foot models.

This info is based on your description and assuming it's an OB model. The also made some I/O models in 86. E's pics are Supersports.

Hi - all thanks for responding. I am able to confirm the boat is a V161 1985 Starcraft runabout, I/O. I will try to attach my picture. I have a question to an above post about sizing the bimini top-is the size from the center of the gunwale to the cente rof the other gunwale more fora cover and not a bimini? My measurement from the (not sure what the exact name of this part is) eye to the other eye is 64 3/4 inches.

I think I get it now - as far as measuring - so from center of one gunwhale to the other. Is there a general concensus of height?

Also - do I measure from the widest area - for instance - the width is smaller if I am sitting at the helm.
