I have a 1985 Chevy suburban with the 5.7L 350. I was on my way to work and all of a sudden I lost all power, it would start back up in natural while rolling then die again. It finally would not start. I checked to see if I was getting gas to the carb and I could not see our here the acceleration pump squirting. I went and got some gas thinking that my gage broke. I put the gas in then tried to start and it would not. I then poured a little in to the tank and it would fire right up. I did this a few times thinking that I really sucked her dry. After a while I called finally here my acceleration pump working put the truck would not stay running unless I kept gas going into it from the can. I know I need to check the fuel pump, and fuel-sending module but what else?

Fuel pump more than likely - try unhooking fuel line from carb, does gas squirt when you crank her over? If not is still poss. that it is fuel filter, is filter inline? If so, remove filter and crank over to see if gas squirts out.
