1986 125 hp Chrysler trim a tilt unit

My trim and tilt unit will not let the manual release valve out, I have tried running the trim motor with the circle key out and it doesn't pop out. Is there another method to getting this valve out to replace the oring? It is leaking around this valve.

take it off boat, plug up all ports, remove other clip, run in other direction. if still doesn't pop then it's not easy.
