1986 125 hp tilt/trim

somehow i blew out the top of the my trim cylinder. does anybody know where i can get just the cap of the trim cylinder

ebay. However ....

If you blew out top then you might have stripped out the threads. If so then a new top won't stay put either. If you're going to do a halfway repair job then just epoxy it back in place with a pair or set screws opposite each other about 3/8" from top lip. Not too low though because piston needs free travel.

ooops, my bad. i misread and thought you were talking about blowing out tilt-ram.

Trim cover? the centering ring is fixable and the seals between cover and sleeve are fixable. Otherwise you're hosed. The only way to get a good casting is to cannibalize a good unit. But .... why would anyone cannibalize a good trim to get the parts needed to fix a bad one?
