I just bought this motor last week to play with. compression was around 80# on all six when i bought it. I decarbed, now it is 95# on all six. After running it a while i pulled the plugs and noticed one cylinder had a little bit of steam coming out. Head gasket??? Also, would it be in my best interest to hone and re-ring since the compression is low?

What makes you think the compression is low? Low compared to what? It's all even and your first decarb did wonders. That tells us the motor was being lugged and the rings were starting to coke up -- which you've taken the (right) first step to correct. You haven't said which heads or head gaskets you're using so 95 may be all you'll ever get. Did you do a leak-down test?

Should I be concerned about the steam in the one cylinder? As far as head gaskets I would say they are original. What head gaskets should I use?
