Hey jasharris, welcome to iboats.
Since you state it's a fixer upper, let's get this to the boat restoration forum for some help.
Again, welcome to iboats.

You can get seats, ignitions switches and lots of hardware etc. at very favourable prices right here. Click on the Marine Store Tab in upper right corner and use the parts finder search. Be aware switched for inboard and outboard different. An I/O switch will ruin an outboard ignition.

In My Opinion, after ripping the carpet out, I would come up with an alternative flooring material. Textured fiberglass, or I have heard of a marine grade vinyl flooring. Just personally I don't like carpet in a boat, gets very dirty easily, holds water, and if you fish-fish innards+water+sunshine+carpet=STINKY!

While you have the carpet up, poke around on the floor for soft spots, if you find some, you'll want to investigate further. Do a search on rotten floors and stringers. This is an important part of a boat, and boats of that age typically have a few spots that need repair.

As for the engine cover, you may want to check with some marine salvage yards. A used one will certainly be the best fit. If that proves fruitless, you may have to resort to some fiberglass work. It takes just a bit to get your skills down, but something like a motor cowl would be a good starting project. Good Luck and most importantly...HAVE FUN with your new boat project.
