I am looking to get some infor on this boat. I' not sure about it's history and hull design. I am really interested in the transom area. I think mine is too open if that makes any since. I added a pic for comment.

Since I live in so cal. I am thinking that I need get some type of cover to cut the open space down and keep and water form coming aboard on a swell from the rear. Or have some sort of Jaws encounter coming up from the transom ha ha ha

Hello Rocket Dog,

Not sure if you ever got a response about this post but I have the same boat - Invader 21. You shouldn't have any problems with the boat's large AFT opening. I've been out on mine 35 miles out and had a wave crash inside the boat from the rear - it was scary at first but the scuppers on the floor deck and the rear area next to the motor drained the water out pretty quickly. Unless you are considering enclosing the transom and putting a motor bracket on - I wouldn't worry about it.

Also, I noticed that you had a portable gas tank - are you having trouble with the built in tank? I was having a venting problem with mine and kept thinking it was the motor but truned out to be the vent on the side of the boat - I replaced it ($14) and never had a problem again.

This is a great boat - we use ours all the time for fishing, trolling, cruising and skiing etc. Here's what mine looks like - see picture.

Good luck!
