1986 30hp Skeg guard?

Did some prop and Skeg Damage to my 1986 30hp. Prop I have ordered, but the Skeg guards start at 40hp? There has to be one I can make work?

take it to your local marina and have it welded up.

I have a buddy that welds, and I appreciate your idea, but wanted something a bit more robust to protect the new Stainless prop I am getting.

skeg guards are flimsy sheet metal (most of which fall off) vs a chunk of aluminum as part of the gear case.
