A few questions to be sure that we understand what's going on.
Are you pre-mixing your gasoline with TCW-3 two-stroke oil at a 50 : 1 ratio or a little bit more oil? If not you will damage the motor, lack of lube, score the bearings, crank, pistons and cyl's.
Re-check compression, is it still good?
You say it cranks well and has spark with the spark plugs removed. And that it cranks SLOW when trying to start. Correct?
Re-check battery voltage and battery cable connections, both ends, also clean the connections at the starter and relay. If itSTILL cranks slow then you may need to rebuild or replace the starter. The ignition has a minimum cranking speed of 300 RPM in order to generate enough ignition to spark and start.
