1986 bayliner trophy center console 18ft

Looking at a boat to purchase for light saltwater fishing, inlets, sound (NC) and maybe Chesapeake Bay. Boat has 125 Force motor. Anyone have any experience or opinions about this boat/set-up. Or what it ght be worth> Thanks for any input.

No personal experience with this boat, but from what I have read on this forum in the past, this is a combination to steer clear of. Mid 80's was a low period for Bayliner and the Force motor was a problem as well.

Agree. I'd avoid it unless it was really really cheap. Parts and service are getting tougher to find for the Force outboards.

If you're buying an older boat, and a salt water boat, get an outboard.
