My first post to this forum. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
I just purchased a 86 Evinrude V6 200 or 225 (cant tell which because the model number sticker is painted over). Anyway, the motor has set for a while and I am trying to get it running again. I was replacing the fuel hoses and noticed that it has two fuel pumps (438559) installed in series to replace the VRO. I'm assuming the reason for two pumps is for redundancy, but wonder if it's an acceptable configuration since one pump feeds the second which feeds the carbs. What do you guys think?
Thanks,
Steve
