I have an '88, for that vintage there is no stop button next to the pull cord, only the slow speed adjust knob (OMC's term for it) and the choke knob. The only stop button is the one on the end of the steering handle where the lanyard clips on. <br /><br />Ignore the 100:1 fuel mix sticker on the side near the fuel line connector. In the early 90's OMC changed the recommendation for the '85 to '89 models from their original 100:1 back to 50:1. <br />JB is correct re: the operators manual, unless you manage to stumble across one on eBay. <br /> <br />While you're at it pick up an OEM service manual as well. From a maintenance standpoint the operators manual offers fairly little other than pointing out where all the grease and lubrication points are.
