1986 merc coolant reservoir bottle

I have a merc 260 with a heat exchanger, I purchased the boat late summer and have been working on her since. I need to locate a reservoir bottle for my heat exchanger.....and then not sure how to place in my boat. Does it matter, high, level or below the exchanger? Anyone have pictures of their setup?

IMO it should be about level with your cap... as far as the bottle itself just get a universal "Dorman HELP! - Coolant Recovery Kit" at your local parts store

I have even taken a free sports bottle and a $0.49 cup holder from carquest and used it as an overflow bottle. Mount it no more than 2' above or below your cap
