1986 mercruiser 4cyl 170hp what coupler do i need ?

I am looking or going to look at an 1986 four winns deck boat with a 4cyl 170hp merc. the ad states needs coupler and from my dinking around with these. i am wondering which coupler ? the old round style ? or the triangle style ? i realize i still have to pull engine but i live in the middle of NOWHERE and would like parts in hand so i can knock this out in a few hours !!! thanks I BOATS great site

97432A2 is the Merc PN, but I would sure be checking things out before pulling the engine and replacing the coupler.

Needing a coupler could just be an excuse for not letting you test drive the boat, or to make an excuse for the drive not working.
Never believe the seller, they just want rid of the boat and money in their pocket.
