I purchased a 70hp 3cylinder Merc today to upgrade from my owl 1976 85, and ran into some wiring mind games. On the motor their are three solenoids (Top, Middle, and Bottom) located next to the powerpack. Anyone with a similiar motor knows where the blu/white, green/white, and black trim wires go on these solenoids. Also what prongs do the blu/white, green/white for the trim swith go. Last, the positive from battery and ground from starter. I will prolly figure it out, but could use any assistance if posibble, their are just so many prongs. I sure wish I had a wiring diagram, but only have books showing older model Mercs. Thanks

No the motor is a 1976. Do the blue and white wires go on the main two prongs of the solenoids or on the side small prongs. Is each solenoid dedicated to one task such as trim, or starting.

Should be 2 posts on the left of each solenoid. Blue/White goes to the upper post of the lower solenoid and the Green/White goes to the upper post of the upper solenoid. Black goes from the lower left side terminals of each solenoid to ground.
