1986 Sea Ray 140 / 181 cu. in. Mercruiser Timing Advance

Does anyone happen to know the correct centrifugal timing advance for this engine? All I can find is the idle timing of 6 Degrees BTDC. My manual doesn't have the advance timing settings. Thanks.

Go to the top of this forum and download the service manual for your engine (free courtesy of the DON) it's worth it everything you need to know is in there they also have the service manuals for your outdrive.

Thanks Fat Fanny but I can't seem to find these free service manuals you are talking about. Seems to be a charge for any manaul I'm finding plus I already have the seloc manual for my boat but it doesn't give the timing advance. It references a chart in the back of the manual but I looked and it's not there. Any help?

(Old thread ) But it's in the adults only section @the top of this forum al you need is year and displacement of your engine and type of outdrive.
