1986 seaswirl

Okay, so I bought this boat back in April and just assumed it was a seaswirl spirit runabout being as the side of the boat says spirit on it. But after doing some online searching im not 100% sure it is. According to this very site, the spirit model is an outboard 16 foot runabout. Mine has an I/O setup with an open bow and I believe 16 foot but have never actually measured it. How exactly would i go about confirming the model?

There's really no reason to doubt the Spirit model name on the boat. If your boat measures within a foot of 16' from the bow point to the stern rub rail, then the outboard vs. I/O issue wouldn't be unusual.

According to NADA, a 1986 Spirit model could be Outboard or Sterndrive...
