Re: 1986 ss 201

One of my drivers has got the boat bug since hanging around the Hanger for the last few months. He did not want a project so much as a usable boat, so he has been watching Clist for quite a while. He has been coming to me with some real bad looking itchy boats with 470's and Stringers. Then I saw this 1991 SeaSwirl on Clist in Montana just across the border. So yesterday we went for a road trip.
I know you guys are going to flog me for it but here it is, Remember it's not mine!!!!

The boat is in awesome condition, used a week a year since new and the rest of the time stored in a garage. I know it's fiberglass and wait for it.................................... It has an OMC Cobra but it runs excellent and is fully maintained.

Remember it's not mine.

You're an Enabler:D

Pretty soon an the dark side will creep into your veins and fill you're mind with visions of good fg boats.

Itchy dust will fill your hanger.

As itchy boats go, that one looks pretty nice though.

DII - All you did was offer advice to a wannabe new boater. Unfortunately it fell on deaf ears. You tried! :) For a glasser she does look nice.

:D yes and your point is:lol:. I was fg boat owner that dealt with all the wet foam and soggy wood, that is why I have now learned from my mistakes and buy TIN boats.

Well GA of all the boats that seemed to interest him this is by far the best, if he had not bought it I would have. With a weekend of spit and polish this boat could be an easy $4500, profit up here.

That's right. Flip the itchers, keep the tinnies. Pays for more tin! :D

Also helps pay for long-range retrieval trips. :)

You got that right GA, it's already gone out of the hanger, I just hope it didn't leave any itchy deposits laying around.:D

Sea Swirls are nice boat, unfortunately so many of them are OMC's. You could so worse than a Cobra though I suppose.

I agree EZ it looks well built and for sure cared for.

That's a great looking parts boat!:becky:

I will have to let Larry know he's got a parts boat, mind you I wouldn't put the Cobra in anything I'm working on.

Oh ya, I was eyeballen that nice galvanized trailer;) The rest of its gotta go:laugh:

Ya the trailer is a real nice one, needs an axle though. I'm trying to figure out why they put so many boats on a 3500lb trailer that weigh 4400lbs ready to go:crazy:

Finally got my horn and dual transducer switch so I should be able to get a couple more things off the list tomorrow.

Fish finder and horn done. Humminbird recommended a power switch to shut the system down, so I made up an aluminum bracket for under the edge of the dash for it and the horn switch.

I chose to get another horn the same as the one that was on the boat, as the holes were already there.

Sharp!

If the water doesn't turn soft soon, you'll have one installed on the passenger side for entertainment!

Everything looks great Glen, guess you're ready for the splash, all you need now is some soft water, going to be in the double digits later this week so hopefully it won't be long now.

Thanks Guys, Just a couple things left now, trolling motor batts and anchore the rear seat boxes. We may finally have some soft water later this week. But it will be warm enough to run her up on the muffs.
