DII - our '85 V5 rides like a dream. Had it out in some big water a few times - almost stood it on its transom once... Handles chop really well.

PS - the rebuild looks great . Can't wait to see it on the water.'

Thanks Paddi, I'm thinking big water should be no problem for her.

OMG - The Royal Coach is ready. Time for the Queen to mount her regal livery. You better wash and wax the truck for the Launch launch. :D:D:D

Re: 1986 ss 201

I just have to show this progress, I'm pretty stoked now. I also got a lot put back together on the boat over the weekend. Windsheild, bow rails cleats, bower vents, etc.

This is what has me excited.

She's back on the trailer.

And this one will ruin my rep but the fat guy is 5'10" so the Admiral made me stand beside here to show how tall she is.

I finally found the fatal flaw. Glen, the tire treads are dusty. Hard to believe the hull just needed a polish. Great looking combo.

Looks like a brand new boat and trailer, but we know it's better than new, it suits ya Glen, time for a Lucky or two, you've earned it.

Yep, definitely TOTY. SOTY isn't far behind it though!

Really great looking! Congrats, well done!

You really do nice work DII. Maybe you should quit your day job, move to the lake and set up shop!

That deep V and high bow will slice through large wakes... Wait and see!

Thanks Paddi, I'd love to do that, but then I'd have to get another job to pay for the move.

Glen man... looks awesome!!! I think you should have worn a suit and tie to fit in with the condition of the boat and trailer! Really like the look of the whole setup. Hard to believe how tall that rig is... with the windshield it has got to be approaching 7 feet!

Trailer setup from yesterday morning looks great well. No one will miss it when following behind!!!!

Super job --- Looking like you may get to keep the award for another season --- have you recieved it at this point?

I don't think that combo looked that good when it was brand new!

Wow Dozer. Slim, trim, and ready to fish (I'm speaking of the boat / trailer of course). Trailer is awesome by the way.

Man.. I was thinking just the same thing when I seen the pics of it on the trailer.... You have that blue growing on a guy....

I can't believe how tall that is sitting on the trailer? Are all of them this tall or is it the trailer helping? That has gotta make it a little bit more of a pita to load up for the day at the house eh? But honestly, small price i guess for a good lookin old tin boat.

The wheels set off the whole thing on the trailer IMO.

Looking for a floating pic now... :) ya know the one with the lake wave and frostie barley pop in the other hand... :very_drunk:

We might have to create another SOTY award. One for Glen, which he already has and might as well glue it to the wall, and one for the top wannabe Glen poser - the rest of us.
