1987 0mc cobra starving

my 2.3 omc engine seems to want to stall usually<br />after warming up no exact pattern i can be running<br />high speed or medium throttle engine starts surging<br />like running out of fuel i can start pumping the trottle to bring it back to life,engine also on<br />occasion has a slight surge at low speed with a <br />steady throttle.engine does not really miss.<br /><br /> any suggestions<br /> ED

If it's starving for fuel check your fuel tank vent line, if the vent is plugged or the vent line is kinked then air can't get into the tank you will create a vacumn that the fuel pump won't be able to overcome. A quick way to check is next time it happens undo your fuel filler cap and if you hear air or if the engine picks up then that's your problem.

Yep,<br />Also check the lines, check-valve, filters,+ Carb.......................<br /><br />You've No Doubt got a Fuel Issue.............
