Well I bought this boat 2yrs ago and have loved owning every minute of it. I got a great deal on it or so I thought at the time.

I used it for the last 2 summers and admit I didn't always put the cover on it. I did most times after use but sometimes I would be going out every day so I just didnt cover it every day.

The floor was a little bit soft in one spot about a foot in diameter. I just said oh its fine nothing to worry about and left it like that. I winterized the boat and stored it under cover over the winter. The next summer the floor was a lil bit softer and the area was spreading. Ran fine all summer and I stored it under cover again for the winter. So I finally got around to pulling up the floor and seeing how much damage has happened over the years.

As you can see from these pics its pretty bad. I plan to cut the stringers and have a friend of mine reglass everything for me. I have never worked with glass a whole lot but have been reading countless forums and ways of fixing what I am going to be working on since I have owned the boat. I got almost all of the floor pulled out and I can tell the stringers are shot. Although so far my transom looks like its in great shape so that was a huge plus. I have a mechanic coming over to tell me if the hull is good or if I should just scrap it. Motor and Trailer are in great shape btw.

Right now I am weighing my options on what to do. I need to find out how much a 1993 Shorelandr roller trailer is worth with new tires and also see how much I could get for my 3.0 Mericruiser. Motor/Drive has run fine for me for the last two summers so I dont think I should have to much trouble with that. I have thought about looking for another boat that needs a motor but its been tough to find what I am looking for.

Some of my questions so far

1. I can not seem to find any foam in my boat is it possible it never came with any?
2. I dont think I have room to pop the cap should I be worried about that?
3. So far from what I can see it seems the back half of stringers/transom/motor mount area seems to not have rot. I have looked into replacing but am waiting on further inspection to figure everything out.

I am somewhat mechanically inclined so I have faith that I can do it just its going to be time consuming and it might almost be worth it to find another boat.

Stay tuned for updates and photos
