1987 is not getting any spark. I am stuck need a little help. 2 weeks ago put her in for the first trip of the spring. Started and ran great for 15 mins. Started running very rough as if it was missing. Shut her down and sat for 10 mins then she would run good for 15 more minutes. This happened consistently for an hour or so. Thought i had water in the fuel. Checked the fuel filter (and replaced) didn't see any sign of water. Added Heet to the tank just in case. Started just fine on the ear muffs. She ran great for around 30 mins no problem. Took her back out on the water... Same thing. Ran great for 10-15 mins and started running rough. Let sit for 10 mins and it would run for about 10 more mins before it started running rough again. I replace the Dist. Cap, Rotor, Coil, Wires, plugs. Ran great on the muffs for 25 mins. Back on the water.... Ran better than she has since I have had her. Then completely shut off. Will not start. Got towed back in. I have now replaced the Thunder bolt IV control module as well. Still nothing. there is not Spark coming from the coil. Please send some suggestions for next steps

Check your feed to the coil and the output of the coil...no output = bad coil

No 12Vdc to coil...check farther back,connections ect.

I would assume the coil is faulty. but you never know, could be a bad connection.

You might wanna check the shift kill switch as well to make sure it's not doing anything wacky.

Your first troubles would lead me to fuel related, but need to get the spark back. Here is the TB-V troubleshooting guide which is also for TB-IV

Based on above troubleshooting I'm lead to believe it is the ignition sensor in the distributor. About to purchase. I will update when its installed

Bought the ignition sensor. Installed it last night. Tried to start....... Nothing. Take a step back, look down and realized I didn't put the Rotor back in. (Dumb) After putting it in she fired right up! Thanks for all the help!!
