I have a video of it it's comes and goes. When I accelerate it get quieter. Mainly does it at idle.
It dawned on me that when I took the motor out there where wood spacers under the front motor mounts that I forgot to put back in...could out of alignment cause this?remove the drive and retest
so, you swapped the motor? It's a new to me boat...
Pull the motor back out and find the problem.I took out drive off and it still makes the noise
Pulled the motor checked the flywheel torqued everything. Can't seem to find the problem.Pull the motor back out and find the problem.
you did pull the drive first, then re-align the motor and check the gimbal bearing and u-joints before putting the drive back in, correct?I

Ouch! I assume you pulled and installed new motor? I saw shims on old OMC drives years ago but not on MC, yet. That's new to me. Pull drive and check for alignment, gimbal bearing roughness and then u-joints. Pray you didn't damage coupler or spine teeth. Crank motor w/o drive attached. You will have to use garden water hose and jurry rig supplying water. If no noise before re-installing drive, pray noise is not in OD gears. You will know soon enough.
