Re: 1987 Bayliner Capri 1900 Interior Restore

This weekend was a good weekend to finish the bow section of my boat.

Below is the finished bow section, it's not a professional job but I think it looks good and I have had good feedback thus far, maybe the next boat I redo the interior on I will take the time to learn how to sew. I think I am going to replace the center back rest, I kind of rushed making it a few weeks ago.

I need to add another post so I can get the last 2 photos uploaded.

I think these seats looks great! You just gave me an idea;). Where do you get the materials anyway?

I see this is older but I still want to say awesome job. I have the exact boat and in the just about the same condition yours was when you got it. I am starting the interior right now and want to know how you got your corners of the cushions so nice and hid where the seams would have been. Did you just pull tight and staple or?????

Again, great job.

Yea excellent job! My family is restoring similar and I'm going to copy your front design I like it, simple, and no sewing but looks great. Although I will need to sew, "learn," eventually for the rear benches

I know this thread is WAY old but I had one question I was hoping you could help me with...

How did you attache your side panels? The factory way they tucked a screw in behind the layers of color, but with it being all one color, how did you do it? It looks amazing and its exactly what I was looking for to get mine done already this winter. I wanted to go with a single color like yours but wasn't sure how to fasten it to the sides.

Thanks for your help and sorry for bringing back the dead....

OKC, Forum guidelines clearly state and the RED banner did too that the OP is the only one that is supposed to post to these OLD threads. If you need help with a topic you should open your own thread. To help you out, One of the best ways to attach your side panels is to use Chrsitmas tree clips like these..

predrill holes thru your upholstery panels and the boat panels.
