I just bought a boat with an evinrude 25 (e25ecua) im pretty sure its missing the air box since there is nothing attached to the front of the carb... i can see the butterfly valve. I havnt seen it listed in any parts diagrams online. anyone know the part # or where i can get 1?

a lot of the smaller motors do not have air silencers.

i already looked there... its not listed. There has to be something to protect the carb from taking in sand and dust. the are 3 threaded holes on the port of the carb. im sure they are for an air box.

I think you will find, threaded holes or not, if it is not shown and listed on the carb diagram/parts list it does not have one.

Therefore probably better not to use your boat on dry dusty or sandy roads.

The silencer's main function is to quiet combustion air noise. It doesn't do anything to keep debris out of the carbs, although I guess it would stop big chunks.
