1987 evinrude 30hp, idle trouble

Hi,
I'm french and I have buy an 30hp evinrude. I have some problems, idling is not stable and the engine backfiring. I made a video: engine video
I chang the spark plug and cleaned the carburetor
Do you have any ideas?

You are missing the plastic fitting at the base of the idle mix needle. The fitting holds the needle in place after you set it.

I start with how many laps at the start ?? because i counted and there were 11 laps ... lol

don't understand "laps", but initial setting is 1 1/2 open (c.clockwise) from lightly closed. Fine tune from there. #17 does not appear in your pic, so maybe was "in process".

"laps" is "turn" I don't know if it's clearer. Ok thanks for the initial setting. #17 is pressed on the pic but present

I cleaned the carburetor and turned the screw 2 turns before trying. It's better but not great....

^Adjust clockwise 1/8 turn or lap at a time until the engine lean sneezes/mild backfire or stalls, then turn c.clockwise 1/4 turn -- should be very close to proper setting.
