1987 Force 50hp head warpage.

Hello Group,
I am working on a 50hp, replacing the head gasket. What is the warpage amount before the head should be shaved?
Also, should any kind of a sealer be used on the new head gasket?

All outboard heads warp.----Resurface it with emery paper on a piece of thick glass.

Yes like racerone says. Resurface it at a piece of glass and water sanding paper. sand it and do it in a 8 pattern way.
Check it with a straight ruler and a filer gauge.
0,004-0,006 gap is acceptable.
No sealer at the head gasket, assemble it dry and torque from center and out.
Torque it to spec number.
