I took the day off and installed the the wakeboard tower today and it looks awesome!! It is really a two man job but I pulled it off. I used the over head in the barn to lift it up on the boat after I assembled it on the ground.

I was really worried about how it would look on my boat, I did a ton of searching on universal towers to find a design that I thought would look like it belonged on the boat and not look odd. This one hugs the the side window very well and the swoop in the bars really goes well with the rest of the boats lines.

The best part of it though $800 with free shipping! I am so happy with it!

It only weighs 70lbs to so not a ton of extra weight!

Man...you really nailed that one. It looks like it was always there. You wouldn't look out of place in south beach.

Hey Solar! looks great ( don't realy like chrome) but that is a great accent to the whole sceme. Oh yea will it fit out the door?

Yes it will fit out the door! Yea I wasnt a big fan of the chrome, but I couldnt get it powder coated. So I am letting it grow on me and if it dosnt I will paint it.

yo man That tower is sweet looking. It really flows with the boat.

I got some 6.5" Cans and Speakers for that tower if your interested. I think they are 2.25" , but Id have to check.

The wake tower is made by DIY Wake, I ordered it online and they shipped it to me. They offer free shipping on all their products over $100. I orded it on Thursday night and it showed up on Tuesday so its fast free shipping even with it coming from California to Ohio.

Yea I have wanted to get a tower for a long time. I really didnt want to spend the money though, over $1000 bucks for one is crazy talk, but all the ones I could find under $1000 just wouldnt fit or look right on my boat. I found this one on ebay and just really liked it. They have if for sale on ebay for $719 but charge $130 for shipping, when I checked out their web site and saw they sale it there for $800 with free shipping I ordered it from their web site and saved $50. I am really happy with it!. After I got it together and on the boat I hung from the top bar a shook the hell out of it, its really sturdy but I need to get some lock tight for all the set screws just to be safe.

I got the seats today. I am thinking I am going to paint the seat black and leave the cushions white. I think there is going to enough white in the boats interior so the black should help tone it down.

Anyway the seats are comfortable though. I just need the pedestals now.

you may have to get that interior paint for cars and then clear it real good to get it to stick gonna look awsome

The seats are made of heavy plastic it looks like injection molded, the same heavy plastic those out door Playschool jungle gyms are made of. I was thinking a light sanding and a acetone bath to clean them and a normal outdoor Rustolium all purpose high gloss paint. I want to leave the cushions white with the black bead like they are.

i hope the paint etches into the plastic well enouph to hold i doubt it will come off any time soon and if need be a few years form now pull em out ruff n scuff spray and as good as new

Yea thats what I was thinking as well. I am thinking over a few options though. I had to purchase a bunch of new toys to paint the boat so I have a few paint guns and all the fixtures for them so my options are pretty open as far as what kind of paint because I have everything to do all that stuff now. We will see what I come up with.

What ever I decide though I am sure the paint will stick with the proper prep work. I have two kids and like i said its made of the same plastic their out door toys are made of, and we bought all their stuff second hand and it needed some refurbishing I have a little experiance getting this kind of plastic to look good.

This is the other tower I'm considering. Its best to buy these things in the offseason, I've seen this exact tower going for hundreds lower than this price in the winter. But you got a very good deal on yours. I'd be very happy with it.

The sudden angles in the Aerial just didnt look right to me. The one thing I wanted though is Aerial has powder coat options DIY only does on some models.

i shot diy an email to see if i could get a few pics of one with a black back ground so i can photoshop it on to my boat and see what it will look like but i am way off on that bad news with my celebrity but i am getting somewhere with the chris caft tho so in 3 or so weeks i should be back in the water

How did you go about mounting it to your hull? Did you kinda "eye ball" it to see where you wanted to mount it, then mark and cut the holes? How does it adjust for different widths of boats? I assume at the top of the tower you can either slide the tower together or pull it apart to adjust? Also, did you beef up the backing plates on the mounts??

BTW..I like the smooth curves as well
