So I was all ready to go get new carpet in my boat and finish the upholstery after it’s been sitting up a few years and I was shocked to find when I tore out the carpet that the floor on the captains side was all rotten. What a kick in the gut!

The other side seems to be very solid other than the edges where the fuel tank is. (Side small piece of plywood) the walls all seem

How hard is it to restore flooring? The stingers of that’s what they are called (runners under the plywood) are rotten also at the top. Luckily it seems to stop before it gets to undergo the drivers dash so I could at least easily access everything.

Are there places that would do for me? Any idea on cost? It’s sat up so long I kinda just want to get it done.

The floor is the last to rot after the stringers and transom.

The foam is most likely waterlogged.

Surprised your boat made it 37 years.

Unfortunately, not at all unusual for an old glass boat !! Do it all and do it right or you will be doing it again before long. Once it starts, it spreads quickly.
