I have a 87 Johnson 175 that has a cracked lower unit, port side of the bullet. Drained the oil out and of course it was milky. Are these LU's easy to find and replace or is it not worth the time to fix it? Motor also came with a bolt in each thermo snapped off. In it. At idle it has a slight miss every 5-7 seconds but fires right up and idles on it's own. The port side bank gets hot fast, starboard side takes forever to warm up. Head gasket issue maybe? Telltale has pretty good flow on it .

Get some Gray Marine Tex and patch the crack in the lower unit. Pressure and vacuum test it when done.
