Hey guys, my motor hasn't been started in 8 years.. Not gonna do it til a few months from now at least--but before I do turn it over for the first time, is there anything I should do first? I know of course spark plugs and impeller/water pump.. But anything else I should be doing in preparation after she sat that long? Thanks in advance

Fresh impeller, but I would clean and regap old plugs initially -- no sense in fouling new plugs while bringing it back. Use fresh mix. If permanent tank, switch to portable until it's up and running (50:1 mix), plugging the auto oiler. In the meantime, dispose of the fuel in the permanent tank.

Oh wow good point with the plugs!! Thanks!! And the gas.. Never woulda thought of that.. Yeah the VRO still works fine on this motor surprisingly.. So I will disconnect and plug the auto oiler for first run w premix... Thanks so much!! 🙏
