1987 Nissan 70 hp lower unit on a 1992 Nissan 70 hp.....

Does anybody know if these are interchangable? Lower unit took a crap on my 1992 70 hp Nissan today, found a 1987 Nissan 70 hp lower unit on Craigslist in my area............

Year doesn't matter. Model does. If they are both 70B models, you are definitely good to go.

Ok thanks, Just got intouch with the guy that has the lower unit, its actually for a 90 hp.......will they swap? and where do I look for the model number.....Thanks..........

Model info is at the transom clamp area. Guessing at model info. The 90A is a completely different animal from a 70B.
