Yes, I've read them all both here and across the world ;-). But people here are nicer!

Subject says it. Oil has been drained (all three gallons). I thought it would be the block, but core plugs are in place (yes I know that's not the definitive answer) and I put it on the muff without starting and cranked it over with the plugs out and it blew water.

So I'm thinking that it's either the exhaust manifold, head, or block (before anybody says "all three", bear in mind I'm in a frail state ;-)

So.

1. Can water enter the cylinders in this engine from the exhaust in an undamaged state?

2. Were the 2.3 Ford engines prone to manifold faults?

3. I'm thinking pull the manifold first, if nothing, then the head, then the block. Your thoughts?

4. Was anyone else aware that Lassie actually pushed the kid into the well with a head butt to gain better Nielson ratings?

Cheers to all, and thanks for you cumulative advise.

1),... Nope....

2),... Don't Know,.... All motor's Leak when Frozen with water in them......

3),... I'd block off various sections of the cooling system,+ pressurize it with Air,... Then Listen....
You'll Hear where it's Leaking....

4),... Nope,..... I think it was Lassie's Stunt Double......

From what I can see in the cooling schematic in the service manual, I could block the back of the housing that joins the exhaust manifold, remove the small hose going to transom and pressurize at the point that it hooks up to.

I'm thinking that if it were only the exhaust manifold I should consider myself lucky.
