1987 omc cobra 5.7 thermostat

is there an automotive equivilant to the thermostat for my engine ? Its not the same as the standard chevy thermostat for this year and im hopin to get this thing going today. boat shop is closed ) :

go to napa.. they have them for boats.

If you have the old one you could go to Napa or equiv and get one that is close enough to work. You wouldn't want to leave it in there too long if it's not brass ....since it might corrode.

Napa can get your thermostat. Sierra 18-3554... But some smaller stores might not have it in stock.
