your going to need to pressure check the drive as it could be leaking from many other places you dont see

it is a fairly advanced job to reseal most drives you will need special tools depending were its leaking

a service manual is needed for sure

many people here do it its hard to say a job is hard or easy as it depends on the person doing it

tommays

You can pull the bearing carrier.... with proper tool....and replace the seals yourself without pulling the drive off. But you also have seals on the topside of the lower unit drive shaft and shift assembly.

Like Tommays said, you need a pressure/vaccum check to be sure.
