Re: 1987 Sea Drive Bracket Parts & Service Manual?????
Hi Folks. I have a single 1988 2.7L Sea Drive. -- And bought the shop manual from EBay. Seriously.

$15.

Actually, I bought the 1987 shop manual. The differences between years a very subtle. In fact, the differences between SIZES are rather subtle.

If there is a specific question you may have, please forward a note to me (kameika@yahoo.com). I'd be happy to answer, with assistance from the shop manual.

As for parts: Consider the bracket to be unique. The power head, midrange, and lower unit are (generally) parts-compatible with any Evinrude, OMC, or Johnson of similar vintage.

You probably already know that already.

The Bracket is the tough one. The T&T Pump is pretty readily available, though. The Hydraulic Cylinder and the hydraulic feed-lines are also pretty readily available from the deal, albeit expensive.

The Zincs--I just bought one from the "Boat US Bargain Table."

The ACTUAL BRACKET could prove a complicated thing to find, though. That's where the junkyard will be handy.

My single, biggest fear is a Tilt/Trim hydraulic pump failure. It'll be a b*tch to repair on a Sea Drive.

Am I wrong?

Ken
