Just had my mariner outboard fixed and it starts up great from the ignition switch. when I turn the key off it will not shut down. I have to choke it out to stop it. Tested continuity from black/yellow wire to black and had continuity. when I flip the key to run position it maintains the continuity from black/yellow to black. I will be testing continuity in all key position and all wires and will post. Any ideas to start with. The mechanic that replaced a bunch of parts said he is 100% sure that it is not in the back at the engine. I couldnt afford to pay him anymore to check the ignition problem. ANy suggestions.
