HAVE NO SPARK TO ANY CYC. I SEE YOU GUYS STATED TO CLEAN UNDER THE FLY WHEEL IS THEIR A TEST BEFORE YOU GO THAT ROUTE WE CHANGE THE CDI ALSO THE CONTROL BOX WE ALSO BY PASSED THE KEY SWITCH

I have the book at the boat yard I BELEIVE its a selog We been reading the ohms of the parts but<br />we are not to happy with the meters we are using<br />I read some ofyour other post and I would like to know how to test the stator.

hello<br /> what is the year and horse power. I dont have manuals here at home so I will try by memory or by going out and looking at mine. yes I may have a few more motors out back than most.<br /> anyway post back and ill try to help

hello<br /> stu<br /> do you have a multi-meter and do you know how to use it. also it will be even better if you had a peak reading meter as well. a meter like a stevens CD-77.<br /> post me back and I will know if this is doable by post

hello<br /> ok dissconnect the white wire from the CDI. test for spark. if you have spark now test the harness for shorts on the white wire. test the peak voltage on the brown and red wires. should be somewhere about145 v. then test the peak on the blue to black /red should be about 40 v.<br /> do the first test with the wire connected to the CDI. if they fail repeat them discconected.<br /> the stator should have resistance of about 740 ohms from brown to red and 70 from blue to black red. test each lead from the lead to ground. should be open circuit. good luck and post back but I am off for work :)

we disconnect white wire no spark we also took th flywheel off aand clean contacts they didnt look dirty
