1988 100 HP Mariner No Spark at at all

Ser# OB 376968. Has no spark in any of the 4 cyl's. All conections appear real clean. Disconnected control box and harness, still no spark. Where do I start? Thanks.

Forgot to mention engine has not been run in quite a while, a couple of years perhaps.

Been checking and performing some of the test and checks from other post as well as following the manual as best I can. Still no spark at any hole. Noticed that the trigger has a bit of play( up and down)an eigth inch or so is that normal?<br />Thank you in advance for your replies.

Sometimes no answer is the best answer. Did not get replies on this one so I decided to use my own noodle as best I could. Read a few other post which in turn lead me to other post. I'm not a confident electrical person. So I read and I read. Turns out my trigger was bad.I found this out by learning how to use an Ohmeter. Got one on ebay for a few dollars, then a flywwheel puller which was suggested here that I also check ebay. Got one of thse too for a few dollars. So no one held my hand, but again through this site I was directed to find my own answers. Point being , don't be dissapointed if your questions are not answered. The answers have probably posted already. All you have to do is look. Love this forum. Thanks to all.
