Re: 1988 125 FORCE TILT TRIM PUMP

Well I thought about doing it but ive crossthreaded the threads on the #2 line beyond repair, after cross threading it and tried to helicoil the the input and after tring the helicoil process i really messed it up cause I couldnt retap it all the way and messed up the hydrolic input to the pump, I was told it was a loss and so I took apart the pump to see if after seperating it I could finish the tapping and repair the hydrolic input and after the spring shot out and lost a small bearing and creating some new cuss words in the process I figured finding a new one was the best option, unless someone has some ideas on fixing my stupidity...... (that I did to my boat). Mine may be incurable.

if the aluminum is not cracked it should be repairable. Hole #2 has a lot of extra metal to work with. Even if it is too wallowed out to repair it's still not such a big deal. A body casting can be cannabilized from almost any year and mated to your gear plate.
