I'm only familiar with the old gear driven tiller/throttles on outboards so this cable is frustrating me. (They say it's better but I've never had a problem with the gear type other than beat up motors where the teeth are broken, but they are easily replaced).

1988, with stop button at the end of the handle. Found the two buttons to remove the twist grip. And can remove the plastic parts that cause the cable to move. And the parts that run in those grooves, including the pin.

But I cannot figure what/how to do next? I can't figure how to remove the outer(?) housing over the end of the cable at the tiller part. Nor remove(?) the stop button plastics.

I'm sure I'm missing something simple here but it's really eluding me.

I have the detailed parts drawing but that doesn't help figure how it's attached. And have the Seloc manual for them, but could not find any section (it's huge and covers a LOT of engines, including full rebuilds) on how to replace the cable.

Would love some pic, or a video or something to tell me what to remove next. I have the replacement cable.

Oh, old cable housing has worn away at the point the tiller tilts, so twisting the throttle just has the inner cable pop out, vs. moving inside the engine/to the carb.

Thanks for any suggestions, help, pics, etc.
