a friend and i gutted and rebuilt this aluminum boat from the hull up. new floor, seats, electrical and so on, the only thing we did not put back in the boat is the livewell. after a year we are very happy with the way it turned out but, it is leaning to the side the livewell was on while on the water. does anyone think the boat design would cause this because the weight is not there??? we are going to try and put lead in the side where the well was or am i looking at the wrong problem. i would think it would lean to the side where the battery wiring console bow mount electric motor are because it is the light side of the vessell. any input would be greatly appreciated THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

I did the same type of rebuild on an early 80's Lund American twin consol, it was lot of fun. Regarding your question, I can't imagine the absence of the former live well would cause the boat to list to that side. The live well itself and any structure that went with it that you might have removed couldn't weigh more than 20-30 lbs tops.
Did you take anything of weight out of the drivers side of the boat during the rebuild? Lund has foam under the floors, , by chance is any of that saturated with water? Not sure if it can get saturated but thought I'd ask, might be worth a check. Is it possible that you have a leak and are retaining water on that side of the boat? Again, I can't imagine that would happen cuz all the water would/should go directly into the bilge.
