Good day Guys,
I'm in need of a repair manual for my motor.
I found one on EBay it is a "CLYMER"Evinrude/Johnson shop manual,48 - 235hp.
1973-1990(includes Sea Drives)
Are the manuals from "CLYMER" Good manuals or is there better ones out there ?
Thanks for any input.....John.

if its $5 total go ahead. there is some good info.
but you would be better getting the omc manual.
i bought all my parts and service manuals from ebay, all in great condition. saved $$.
-
for some reason the 1988 "CC" 120 to 300 are kinda scarce on ebay vrs the 89+ years manuals.
-
here is the OMC part #507664 it covers 120,125,140,200 thru 225,275 & 300 XP/GT. the cover is black.

you can get away with using a 89 to 91 manual. there are somethings different but its still alot better than a clymers for the money.
ive compared the 1988, 89, 90, 91 & 94 manuals. the biggest difference i can sea from 88 to 89 was the throttle <carb> link and how to sync the throttle plates. <as far as the manual goes>.
-
best online diagram for parts pricing is
www.boaterssupply.com
-
i keep my 88 manual clean and use a 91 for actually getting dirty.
