Always check spark with an open air tester. Make sure the throttle lever is in the neutral detent, if getting no starter activity. xLIS50850_1200Wx1200H.jpg.pagespeed.ic.DpYWD8n9Ep.jpg

Sorry,---12 volts from the battery is not used to make spark on this motor.-----Spark is generated by the magneto under the flywheel.----And only if the starter motor spins the flywheel at about 250 RPM.-----So inspect your starter and have battery load tested.

If you have cranking issues (too slow), your flywheel will accept a rope for starting. Using a spark tester, remove both plugs to give it the best chance.
