Ok I went fishing yesterday and everything was fine . After fishing abit I cranked and started my run and rpm would not go over 5000 rpm, I back of the throttle and hit it again and it would go to 5500 rpm, but I had to back throttle to get it to do it. Does this sound like my reeds are gummed up? I cannot reach primer bulb wanted to try that but after backing of throttle aliitle and shooting it back to full it would correct to 5500 rpm everytime. I do have a manual but really does't address this.

Sounds like your linkage is sticking or your throttle cable is binding. It could also be your timing plate is sticking under the fly wheel and when you bump it down and then back up, it advances properly. Make sure the timing plate is moving freely..

Thanks rick I will take a look at that, makes alot of sense since it did not seem to be missing or booging down.
