Was afraid of that. Aftermarket manuals usually skimp on needed information, and rank high on mistakes. Here's a link to the OEM manual you can download.

I wouldn't start it. Right now, we know the bellows is off. The chances are VERY good the bearings in the bellhousing could be froze up and rusty. If you start the engine and those bearing sieze, you stand a very good chance of destroying the flywheel cover. You don't want to know what those cost to replace. (there is a comma in the dollar's). Then there is the problem of what happens if the ujoints are locked up. Too much of a chance to try starting in my opinion. But, I have just one opinion of many. So do what you think is right.
It is a Seloc manual (011-X) 3600.

As said before, I have never started up this boat, will it be safe to see how it sounds to confirm what the previous owner stated?
