Ok I am now officially working on this boat. It sat about three months without starting it and now looks like a starter issue. If I can get this started and running well then I will proceed with the restoration of this boat.

Today I looked at the engine and found about an inch of water and the bilge pump not working. I am not sure how long water has been down there but I got it all out.

Besides all of the seat material being worthless and the carpet trashed but the boat seems solid and seems to have no real soft spots.

If I can get the thing stated, it ran find three months ago, then I will post pics of my restoration. I figure by April I can have it done

Re: 1988 Bayliner Capri

Inboard or outboard? My wife's dad has a 2050 with I/O 5.0 GM. It sat unused for 12 years, but we have gotten it back in the water. They're getting old enough that they almost have a "retro" look. I may buy the boat, so I'll watch your thread with interest.

Oh yeah, I'm sure you know it by now, but this thread is worthless without pics.........:)
