1988 Evinrude 88SPL fuel question

Had to replace the carbs on this engine (long story why but not relevant). The replacement carbs appear to have been for a 100-110 HP Evinrude but mine is an 88HP.

The rebuilt replacement carbs appear identical except for jets and intake bore sizes.

Engine starts right up and runs well except when at WOT for about a minute--it then feels like it is starving for fuel. This only happens at WOT. Back off even just a little bit and everything is fine.

What could be causing this?

Thanks,
Brian

Thanks for the reply. I really wanted to do the link and sync before testing it on water but can't find the procedure. I have a procedure for my old 85 HP but it had different carbs.

Is there a place on line to get this procedure?

Check in the Top Secret File pinned at the top of the post list. A great method which doesn't require running the motor at high RPM on hte water.
