1988 Evinrude 9.9 Wont run without choke on

1988 Evinrude 9.9, Starts easy and runs fine until i close the choke. When the choke is off the motorcwill not stay running.

Needs a carb cleaning and possibly a kit, do the welch plugs and such, do the kit, you'll be happy.

sounds like what i have but found out the pilot jet came apart and broke leaving the tip in the carb still and now i need to get it out somehow.either way you need a good cleaning.

Float is also sunk (saturated).
