I have something on my motor that I noticed and I just got the motor so not familiar with it
it has a red nob on it and it is connected to the fuel line and carb thinking maybe something to do with the electric choke idk though
also some of my wiring has some corrosion on it should I replace it or I was thinking some contact cleaner and some liquid electrical tape anythoughts
thanks

woof. Mouse damage, I'm guessing. Think it's wire replacement, wire by wire assessment. Can't comment on function of choke primer (presumably), but looks offhand like a wire or hose was chewed of there too.

The red knob is for manual operation of the electric primer Its normal position is as shown. Turned through 90? operates the primer manually

Definitely replace that wiring. It's no longer viable as wiring.... You can likely find a used wiring harness on eBay for not much $.

I decided me being a chepo I cut the tape off the harness and found the wires that were bad and are going to replace them with some new wire and couplings
should be an easy fix
not sure what caused it in the first place they looked corroded where they were messed up
